Truancy is absence from school without the knowledge of parent or guardian.  Truancy is a violation of State Law as well as school regulations and is considered a most serious offense.  A student who is truant and his/her parents must meet with the principal.  Disciplinary action will result from this behavior.  A repeat of this behavior may lead to the student’s dismissal.
